Hello,

I am Jackie Burage and I am new to Synergy and I really would like to talk to someone that have been where I am now.

I have taken the Medical Billing course, and I am presently under the marketing program with Duane. I have not progressed too much. I am working on my first mailing list to chiropractics and dentists. So far I have not had any good responses. Some of the offices have gone out of business and I have not received any replies yet.

I live Mobile Alabama and I really could use some advice on how to get started. If anyone can just talk to me, I would appreciate if a lot.

Thank you,

Desperate!
Jackie Burage

Hi Jackie,
Welcome to the Synergy family! Smile

My recommendation to you is to mail to every provider you can find in the phone book. Send 10-20 a day till you run out of providers. I would wait about 2 or 3 weeks and then start out again with your second mailing. Then, in 2 or 3 weeks, send out a third mailing. Sooner or later some one will respond. The best problem you can have is for more than one potential client contacting you at the same time. Once you have a client, you may decide to specialize, but until that time I think you would want to start making some money. Providers are not always quick responders, so don't be surprised to get a call from someone 6 months to a year or longer after your last mailing.

Some one else in the "family" may have another opinion, but I don't think dentists are very inclined to outsource billing.

Good luck to you in your quest. Be sure to monitor this forum and jump in at anytime with questions or comments. Cool

Hi Jackie,

Welcome!

Ron's answer was perfect!

The thing about dentistry is you will need to purchase another software program due to the fact that the claim form is in a totally different format than professional claims. It's not easy to program several formats into one software and be accurate and stay on top of everything.

If you would like to discuss this further please feel free to call me. I believe my number is in my profie. If not contact Synergy and they will hook you up with me.

As for marketing, between Ron's advice and Duane's help you will get there, it's been proven! Cool

Karen,

I really appreciate your input. Thanks for letting me know not to waste my time on Dentists. I am sticking with the Chiropractics. I am getting ready to send out my second mailing.

Thanks again,

Jackie

P.S. I would like very much to chat with you again. I would like your input on how to keep abreast with the software. It been a while since I practice on it. Does it stay with you? Smile

Hi Jackie,

Certainly, I would be happy to chat with you. Yes, things come back you. It's kind of like riding a bike, play around with it a little and you should be good to go. Wink

Hi Jackie, if you would like to talk you can give me a call at 970-522-0421 office number or 970-571-1402 cell phone number. We are getting ready to celebrate 2 years in business. It has been long, hard, and fun. I also worked with Duane in marketing he has very good suggestions. Make sure you do everything he asks. I didn't want to all the time however everything worked.

For marketing and getting doctor information I used yellowpages.com on the web. You put in the zip code you want to search and what type of physician and it will bring all physicians up in that area. You might want to think about physical, occupational, and speech therapy. I have found there are several single PT offices that have one person up front and do not want to mess with billing. Most of our clients are in the therapy department. Another one that is good for us is Audiology.

I would be glad to talk more if you would like. Hang in there it only gets better if you want it to.
Very Happy
